About Stratopedia
Most businesses do not struggle because they lack ambition or effort. They struggle because the financial systems, governance structures, and decision frameworks required to support that growth were never properly designed. As the business grows, that absence becomes a constraint — limiting visibility, weakening control, and making sound decision-making increasingly difficult.
Whether you are an SME trying to get your finances properly structured and stay compliant, a growing business that needs a proper finance function that acts as a true strategic business partner — producing the financial intelligence, management insights, and decision-useful reporting your business depends on — and a business plan and financial model that stand stakeholder scrutiny, drive real growth, and support sound decision-making, or a more complex organisation navigating governance, investment readiness, or institutional transformation, the underlying need is the same: clarity, structure, and systems that work.
Stratopedia exists to meet businesses where they are, and build the financial and organisational foundations that let them grow with confidence.
Established January 2026
Stratopedia Advisory Ltd. was formally incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in January 2026 (RC 9213022) to provide finance-led management consulting and institutional advisory services with greater structure, focus, and discipline.
The advisory practice builds on a well-established track record of institutional engagements across fintech and digital payments, venture capital, construction and real estate, manufacturing, research analytics, regulatory compliance, and development finance in Nigeria and across Africa. The firm was created not to explore a market, but to serve it with deeper strategic clarity and institutional rigour.
We work with businesses and organisations at every stage, whether you are an SME formalising your structural, legal, and financial foundations for the first time, or a more complex organisation navigating financial visibility and decision support, strategy, governance, and transformation. Whatever your stage, you will receive the same quality of thinking, the same professional rigour, and the same commitment to practical results. If you have a business challenge and you think we can help, we would welcome the opportunity to understand your situation.
Who We Serve
We work with businesses and organisations of every stage and scale across Nigeria and Africa. A small business generating its first ₦20 million still needs a proper structural and legal foundation, proper financial records and documentation, tax and regulatory compliance, and a financial system that provides real insight for planning, decision-making, and growth and capital raising — not just records for when an authority asks. A growing company needs a credible business plan, insightful and actionable management reports, a working budget, current compliance certificates, and the financial models that inform every significant business decision. A more complex organisation needs governance, strategy, and execution systems. We work across all of these.
Our clients include sole traders and SMEs getting their finances structured, mid-size businesses preparing for growth or seeking investment, multi-entity groups that need governance and performance frameworks, and larger organisations navigating transformation. The level of complexity varies; our commitment to rigour and practical results does not.
If you are running a business and you know that something about your finances, your structure, or your direction needs to be better — that is the right moment to talk to us. No business is too small to benefit from sound financial and strategic advice.
You are in the right place if any of these is true
Your tax and compliance position is unclear, overdue, or causing you concern
You need a business plan or financial model for a bank, investor, or partner — or to evaluate a significant business decision
Your finance function lacks the structure, skills, or systems your business now needs
You are growing but your decisions are not grounded in reliable financial data
Your team needs training in finance, governance, or strategic thinking — or you personally want to upskill, advance your career, or build advisory capability
You need governance structures, accountability systems, or compliance support
You are preparing for investment, a capital raise, or a major business decision
You do not have timely, reliable management reports that give you real visibility into how your business is performing, and the intelligence to act on it
Your business is growing and you feel it is becoming harder to manage or control
If any of these describes your situation, this is exactly the kind of work we do. Start with a conversation.
How We Think
Every business we work with has a specific situation. A small trading business needs its accounts organised and its taxes filed. A manufacturer with 50 staff needs a proper finance function. A founder raising money needs a financial model that holds up to scrutiny. A group of companies needs governance that actually works.
We do not apply a generic consulting template to every situation. We start by understanding what your business actually needs, and we design the engagement around that, not around a pre-packaged service.
Whether your situation is simple or complex, our approach is always the same: understand the problem properly, design the right solution, and implement it in a way that your business can actually sustain.
"Most accountants report numbers. Most consultants write strategy. We build the systems that make both work."
We prioritise what actually works for your business over what sounds impressive in a presentation. Financial advice that you cannot use is not advice. It is a document on a shelf.
Every recommendation we make is designed to be implemented, not admired. We use tools, technology, and systems where they serve your business. We do not recommend complexity where simplicity is right. The measure of a good advisory engagement is whether your business runs better as a result.
At every stage of a business, from a sole trader filing taxes to a group company allocating capital across subsidiaries, the quality of financial information determines the quality of decisions. We position finance not just as compliance, but as the foundation of clarity.
When your numbers are right, your reports are reliable, and your financial systems work, you make better decisions about pricing, hiring, investment, expansion, and risk. That is true whether you are making ₦2 million or ₦2 billion.
Our primary asset is professional judgment. We exist to give you an honest assessment of your business situation, not to validate decisions you have already made or to tell you what you want to hear.
If your plan has a financial problem, we will tell you. If your compliance position is risky, we will tell you. If a simpler approach will work better than a complex one, we will tell you. That is what good advisory looks like, whether your business is small or large.
A good finance system, a well-structured compliance framework, a solid business plan: none of these should need to be redone every year. We design and implement solutions that are appropriate for where your business is now and capable of scaling as your business grows.
We do not chase quick fixes or produce reports that gather dust. We build clarity, structure, and systems that your business can operate on consistently, and that grow with you over time.
Our Leadership
Portrait
Founder & Principal Advisor
"Real advisory value does not lie in the delivery of recommendations. It lies in the strengthening of institutional judgment — the capacity to make sound decisions consistently, across time and complexity."
John Agbo holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (with Distinction), grounded in a decade of professional formation across financial leadership, governance, strategic advisory, and institutional performance. His work is grounded in a specific discipline: structural clarity — understanding how strategy, finance, governance, and operational design converge to produce performance, and how misalignment in any one layer ultimately compromises the whole. He approaches every engagement as a problem of institutional architecture, not operational activity.
His advisory work centres on a clear premise: that organisations do not struggle because of lack of ambition or effort — they struggle because the financial systems, governance structures, strategy frameworks, and decision disciplines that should support performance are either absent or misaligned. His role as Principal Advisor is to diagnose that misalignment with the structured rigour of management consulting methodology, build the financial and governance architecture with the depth of chartered accountancy and management accounting, and orient the whole engagement toward institutional performance. The practice he leads carries the full complement of professional credentials these disciplines require.
His professional formation spans fintech and digital payments, research analytics, innovation ecosystems and venture capital, and multi-entity construction, real estate, and manufacturing. He has operated across environments ranging from Y Combinator-backed Series A businesses and Nigeria's leading VC ecosystem to multi-entity industrial groups and international development programmes. His engagements have produced documented outcomes at institutional and enterprise levels, including structured resolution of multi-year tax audit exercises with assessed liabilities substantially reduced, Series A investor reporting infrastructure, and significant working capital recovery at scale.
Stratopedia is structured to serve businesses and organisations of every scale with the same level of rigour and professional quality — from an SME formalising its financial foundations and compliance for the first time, to a complex organisation navigating strategy, governance, and institutional transformation. The firm exists to deliver consistent, practical advisory value to every business it works with.
